The EFT Process

How does emotion focused therapy work?

An approach that’s as unique as you are.

An effective long-term and experiential therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) means that my role is to be attuned to you and empathic to your emotional process. This provides safety, and facilitates understanding and engagement in the exploration of your personal inner experience.

While EFT is scientifically-based and proven to be effective in therapeutic practices around the world, our engagement is always tailored to you. So you can get unstuck —and stay that way.

Healing through feeling. For life.

Research has proven that our emotions are the pathway into experience. They hold the key to our needs, longings and dreams. Often, we get stuck in unhelpful response patterns, or in the pain of past trauma, or another form of maladaptive feeling and can’t move forward.

Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) helps you access experience by using emotions – our brain’s most powerful response mechanism – to transform past difficulty or current pain into a new adaptive experience. According to Dr. Les Greenberg, developer of the EFT intervention model, “You can’t heal an experience until you feel it.”

Simply talking about it won’t help reach into that transformative state of enduring change for growth and well-being: it must be felt and integrated into your deepest self. The key to making transformative change is to access those old patterns via the emotional experience, so we can create a new pathway to future growth.

I’m here to guide you, every step of the way.
